mobile recording allows studio-quality recordings to be made at a location outside of a traditional recording studio. these recordings can be used for commercial release, video or promotional use, or for archival purposes.

greyfade studio's mobile recording services are available in new york city and beyond. we have over a decade of experience recording at many of nyc's notable music venues, as well as non-traditional recording locations such as galleries, libraries, outdoor spaces, and even musicians' homes.

our compact mobile recording rig balances the highest quality analog & digital components with portability, ease of setup, and full recording redundancy. the multitrack rig is optimized to fit into small venues with limited space, can be set up with relatively minimal load-in time, and interacts seamlessly with a variety of live sound situations and mixing boards. the full system supports up to 128 channels of audio via a robust audio-over-ethernet dante network.

our system front-end includes a selection of studio microphones (including tube & ribbon mics), high-end preamplifiers, cabling, stands, stage monitors, and accessories.

full or partial system rentals (without engineer) are also available.
